Fun Days Ahead

Owen is done with school and Lettie is almost there. Everyone is excited because the Ward boys are coming to stay with us while their Mom and Dad are in Mexico. It will be lots of fun! We also have Homecoming at church on Sunday, so that will be a fun day. We are going to have a cook-out and lots of jumpers for the kids to play on. It is going to be great! Next Saturday we leave for our week at the beach. We always have a great time there. We are counting down the days. All of the cousins really have a great time playing together in the sand and ocean. While we are there Jason and I will celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary. Wow! Hard to believe we have been married that long. It has been adventurous and lots of fun-- never dull being a pastor's wife! I am so glad that God blessed me with him. He is so good to me and our children. Not to mention that I love him a whole lot! Hopefully we will go to Rioz and celebrate while we are at the beach! We both love that place. Fun and busy days ahead.

Soccer

Today, Ella and Owen played their last soccer games. Tomorrow evening is the Upward Banquet. We are having jumpers, games, and pizza. It should be lots of fun. This was Ella's first experience with soccer, and she was always entertaining to watch. She was usually pretty involved until about half time each week. Then, playing in the grass and walking off of the field to get a drink a of water became a little more important. She was so cute though. Her outfit was huge, even though it was the smallest one available.

I know that I am his mother, and probably pretty partial but Owen is really good at soccer and LOVES playing. His team was undefeated this season. Those boys really did play great together. I really enjoy watching him and cheering him on. I am so proud of how hard he plays and practices. He amazes me, for a 6 year (almost 7)year old! He hopes to play for the Roswell Santos this fall.

Will it Ever Sell?

I am fighting back feelings of real frustration alot lately. I guess I thought that since we where following God's call to this new city that He would take care of all of the details (ie--selling our house in Danville). Well, things are not really working out that way. The house has been for sale for about 180 days now and I am frustrated. I am forced to remind myself daily that just because we are in the center of God's will doesn't mean that all will be easy.I know that Jesus was in the center of God's will when He endured the cross, that was FAR from easy. I also remind myself that we are blessed to have the housing situation that we have. Our church has been SO good to us. The frustration comes fom being a woman and needing to "nest" and decorate our home. I also would love to NEVER see another moving box EVER again. I am praying for patience, which I know is a VERY dangerous thing to do. Just like all the other struggles God has delt with me in, I know that He is molding me and changing me. For that, I am thankful. I must be a pretty hard piece of clay, because this process sure does hurt.
Thank you to so many of you who are praying along with us for the sell of our house. I look forward to the day that we can all celebrate what He has done in our house and me!

TheTrip To Danville

Cece and Grandmother Joy came to pick me up to take me to Danville .I went by myself. It was so much fun! I fell asleep in the car. I got to see my freinds Sarah Joy's, Anna's , and Hannah's recital that I was going to be in. But we moved to Georgia so I wasn't able to. They really did a good job.Their costumes where so pretty. Pace played the guitar for me. He did a good job too .Katie Grace was so exited I was coming. She was so crazy. On the way home we ate at Cracker Barrel and the waiter forgot to put our order in. We waited an hour for our food. I got home at 5:45. Thank you CeCe, I had alot of fun.- Lettie

Happy Birthday Jason!

Sunday was Jason's Birthday! How old is he?--107 if you ask him. We had a great time celebrating all weekend. Roger & Gloria came to visit on Friday afternoon. They had hope of seeing Owen and Ella play soccer on Saturday morning but the games were rained out. They were so sweet to provide childcare for us on Saturday night so that we could go out to eat with our good friends Daniel and Jessica. We ate and ate at a wonderful restaurant called Maggiano's. We were definately stuffed when we waddled out of there. The kids all picked out just the right gifts. Lettie picked a shirt so that he could have a new shirt to preach in on his birthday. Owen picked an addidas soccer shirt. Ella chose some soccer shorts. They love to shop for gifts. On Sunday after church Granny and PawPaw treated us to lunch at one of Jason's favorite restaurants-Dreamland BBQ! So thankful to have him in my life! He is the greatest husband, father, and Preacher/Pastor (if I might say so myself!). Our family is blessed.

Ella Decides to put a Bead up her Nose

Well, today ended up being an "exciting" day. Ella told me that she had something stuck up her nose. At first I thought it was a lite brite peg. Turns out it was a hair bead. I was not sure at first that there was really something up there. With the help of a flashlight I noticed a little pink bead was definately up there--way up there. At first I was in a panic. But she was breathing fine and after I calmed down she did too. I tried putting pepper under her nose to make her sneeze but didn't have any luck. I tried to rub her nose in hopes of moving it down but nothing worked. I called the insurance and found a place that could help us. Ella was very upset that she had to go to the doctor. The nurse came in and said that I was going to get it out. Wondering "what in the world am I fixing to do?" So here's what worked- I put my finger over the nostril that was not clogged, put my mouth over her mouth and blew into her mouth as hard as I could. It took 3 tries, but then it shot out. I could not believe it worked! She is fine now and keeps telling me, "Mommy, I am so sorry I put that bead up my nose. I won't do it again!"
