Long story short... We went by our friends house today to pick up a doll that we had left on a previous trip. Today happened to be their moving day into their new house. It is beautiful! They got a great house! Ella and Lettie kept commenting on how much they loved it and how they hoped one day they could have a house in Georgia. We had traveled most of the way home and were pulling into our city and Ella piped up and said, "Mommy why did God sell their house in Danville and not ours?" Before I could answer her she said, "Why has He been so good to them and not to us." I replied to Ella, and as the words came out of my mouth I knew the reason this was all going down. I said " Ella, God has been soo good to us. He has faithfully provided for us in EVERY way possible." "Why is God so sweet to them and He's not being sweet to us?"she said. I replied, "God is good and sweet to us, I know it is hard but we have to wait on God, He has a plan for us and it WILL be good and sweet and wonderful!"
You know, God sometime uses strange ways to speak to us so powerfully. Tonight was that time for me. He wanted me to hear those words coming from my own mouth. I needed that reminder. I heard Him LOUD and CLEAR!

Last Week Was Busy & Fun!
We have all made it home from our seperate adventures. Ella and I got home last night from our trip to Mississippi. We spent some fun time with Gran and Pappa. We also got to visit with my Granny, Aunt Mary, Uncle Chris, Mark and Mimmi.
Jason, Lettie, and Owen got home late last nite from Helen, GA. They were at Family on Mission Camp all week. Jason was the speaker at this camp. They did mission projects during the day and then he spoke at a worship service each nite. They were able to see a family from the summer before in Big Stone Gap, VA. I know that they had experiences and met people that will forever be remembered.
We all slept really good last night. The kids (and Jason and I) were all really excited to see eachother.

What Has Happened to Me?
First thing that I notice is that I am actually watching a soccer game when neither of my boys are here. Ok, we will chalk it up to "its the World Cup, everybody watches the World Cup!" But that is not all, the USA scored and I leaped from the couch, ran to the tv and started yelling!" There is simply no other explanation for that action except that "I HAVE BEEN BRAINWASHED!" Maybe I am just Super Patriotic! What has happened to me? No really, it has troubled me to think that I am actually enjoying a soccer game. Guess that is a good think since it will probably be on at my house for the entire month.

Did You Know I have Live In Beauticians?
It is so convenient to have beauticians living in my home. They are so happy to give me a new hair do even when I am quite fine with putting off my appointment a little longer. Never seen ones so excited about their assignment. They see just how many hair pins I can possibly manage in this short head of hair that I have. All joking aside, I love having my sweet girls, Lettie and Ella make much to do of my hair and tell me how beautiful it looks when they are all done.
Owen's Birthday!
Today is Owen's birthday. He is seven years old. Can't believe 7 years have gone by already. Last night at church Mrs Rhonda gave him a Jubilanee ball, a replica of the ones they are using at the World Cup. He was so excited. He slept with it last night. His Daddy cooked breakfast for him and served it to him in bed- eggs, grits, and a toaster strudel- His favorites! He opened the rest of his birthday gifts too. He already opened some at the beach since we had a party for him there with his grandparents and aunts, uncles, and cousins. The Burton's from Danville were able to be there too. Granny made him a FIFA World Cup Soccer cake. It was a big hit! We had a great time. This morning he got a BOLT dog from Ella and an air soft gun from Mom and Dad. I keep reminding his Dad that he is 7. Jason enjoys playing with those kinds of toys just as much as Owen does. Lettie gave him some hunting silly bands while were were at the beach. He has gotten money in the mail, a cd player, nerf gun, super soaker, paddle ball, legos, world cup soccer game for the wii, and a USA soccer jersey. Thank you so much to all of you who have been so generous to him. He has been celebrating for over a week. Love to see the smile on his face--so glad that God gave him to me and Jason. He is growing up so fast. Hopefully we will get to go to the pool this afternoon and then to drive race cars tonight.
